Announcing the “Place of the Lion” series

The Place of the Lion

The Place of the Lion

Hello there, intelligent and articulate readers! I am happy to announce a fun, more light-hearted series on this blog than we have had thus far. Towards the end of September, I plan to run a series of guest posts, written by readers, all about The Place of the Lion. Each participant will read the novel and write a quick 500-1000 word response for me to post on The Oddest Inkling. These will not be formal, academic book reviews, nor pieces of literary criticism (unless that’s what somebody likes to write for fun, and can keep it light). They will be personal, here’s-what-I-thought-of-it responses.

Would you like to participate? If so, leave me a comment below and/or email me your submission to iambic[dot]admonit[at]gmail[dot]com. I will take the first 14 submissions, as long as they fit the description above. Here is the full text of the novel online: The deadline is the 15th of Sept. Please include any links, etc. you want posted. Blessings to you all!

Under the Mercy,
Sørina Higgins
